With the rising consumer demand for safe food, many enterprises have established food quality and safety management systems based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). In 2001, ISO started developing an auditable standard. This standard further reinforced the role of HACCP in food safety management systems and brought the newly finalized ISO 22000 to the forefront of industrial development. The ISO 22000 standard intends to define food safety management requirements for enterprises that need to meet and surpass global food safety regulations. It covers all consumer and market demands, streamlines and accelerates relevant procedures without compromising other quality and food safety management systems.
ISO 22000 is an international certification standard specifying requirements for food safety management systems. It applies to all organizations throughout the entire food supply chain, including farmers, food service providers, processors, logistics carriers, warehouses, retailers and packaging manufacturers.
On February 26, 2025, our institution passed the accreditation assessment conducted by International Accreditation Service (IAS) of the United States. We are authorized to publicize our accredited status and use the IAS accreditation logo as well as the IAF international accreditation logo within the scope of ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Systems, covering Category C: Food Manufacturing; Category I: Production of Food Packaging and Packaging Materials; Category K: Production of (Bio) Chemicals.
ISO 22000 lays down requirements for food safety management systems and integrates universally recognized core elements to guarantee food safety from the start of the food chain to the final consumption stage, as listed below:
1. Enble interactive communication across the global supply chain
2. Comply with HACCP principles – hazard analysis, identification of Critical Control Points (CCPs), establishment of hazard correlation, monitoring of CCPs, formulation of corrective actions, record retention and verification
Harmonize voluntary and mandatory standards
3. Adopt a framework aligned with ISO 9001:2000
4. System management5. Process control
5. Process control
